Distance 10.6 Km Grade Medium
Time 3.5 hours Type Circular walk

Beginning at Fonte Nova on the north eastern outskirts of Alegrete the path winds up a little skirting pine and some eucalyptus before descending fairly steeply down a track into a more pastoral setting of farmland with grazing sheep.

Rambling by an olive grove looking south to Alegrete on the Alegrete walk

Across the Ribeira de Arronches and cultivated fields, through hamlets with quaint Alentejan one story houses, vineyards and farms near Besteiros. Then back over the Ribeira de Arronches again but this time alongside a rocky gorge whose sound betrays a hidden waterfall. Finally along lanes and paths and fields and olive groves back to Alegrete.
