Category: Favourite Local Don't Miss!

Herdade Porto da Bouga Tinto has been a favourite for many years. Wonderfully intense, fruity, sharp and dry. A little oak but there is so much else going on you should love it even if you don't like oak much.

This used to be restricted to Pingo Doce supermarkets and at about 7 Euro. Recently available at only €3.98 it is one not to be missed when staying at the Quinta.

It used to be that Pingo Doce at the top of the park in Portalegre was the only place to find it. It now appears in other one or two other supermarkets. E Leclerc at the southren outskirts of Portalegre is worth trying.
